“Indonesia is a country with abundant drug search resources. In the past, conventional drug discovery strategies were used successfully to develop new drugs, but the process from initial identification to clinical trials took more than 12 years and cost an average of $1.8 billion USD. Because of its potential to accelerate drug discovery in terms of time, effort, and cost, the in silico method has attracted significant interest in recent years. Using computational methods, many new pharmaceutical compounds have been successfully developed. In this year’s Virtual Course, we will provide a brief introduction on how to develop drug discovery with computational methods and design strategies using the latest software/tools and the latest knowledge base for those who want to develop their own computational models.”
